Cuerpo Vivo:
A Movement & Voice Revival
FEBRUARY 14–19, 2027 | ZIPOLITE, OAXACA, MX
Developed and facilitated by:
Nico Allen | Nick Demeris | Pablo Jivam
Cuerpo Vivo means Living Body.
This is an invitation to remember that the body is more than something we carry through life - it's a source of wisdom, creativity, intuition, healing, and connection.
In a world that constantly pulls us into thinking, planning, and doing - many of us lose touch with the intelligence that lives beneath and throughout. Cuerpo Vivo invites us back into relationship with that deeper knowing through movement and 5 Rhythms, voice, breath, music, nature, and community.
Set on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, this immersive retreat unfolds as a living experience. Together we'll move through a shared daily rhythm of embodied practice, spacious rest, meaningful connection, and creative exploration, while journeying through the wisdom of the Five Elements - Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and Ether.
This isn't about becoming someone different. It's about remembering what has always been alive within you.
Whether you're navigating change, seeking deeper connection, or simply longing for something greater, Cuerpo Vivo offers a space to listen more deeply, move more freely, and return home to yourself.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
Five days move through five elements, earth to ether. Nothing is rigid. The days respond to the group, the weather, and what's actually happening in the room.
❋ A Rhythm, Not a Schedule
Expert 5Rhythms facilitator, a Carnegie Hall teaching artist, and over a decade of combined practice moving groups through the body, not just teaching about it.
❋ Expert Facilitation
Nico Allen leads movement and 5Rhythms, Nick Demeris leads voice, and Pablo Jivam leads breath. Each works a different door into the body, and the week is built so the three come together instead of staying separate.
✱ Holistic Approach
❋ Nothing Forced, Everything Optional
No dance background needed. No singing experience required. You move and make sound at your own pace.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Come if you're curious. Come if you're craving a little more aliveness, creativity, or connection. Come if you've been wanting to move, laugh, rest, or simply spend a few days with people who are interested in living more fully. All you need is a willingness to show up as you are.
THE CONTAINER
Raw concrete, guanacaste wood, and an oak dance floor built by hand, all left unpainted on purpose. The Pacific hits this coast harder than most, and CAMP was built to hold that kind of force. For five nights, that same honesty becomes the room you move, sing, breathe, and rest in.
CAMP holds a 120m² oak-floor movement studio, the largest of its kind in Zipolite, a 90m² shala with jungle views, a soundproofed black box theater, a heated mineral pool, and a sauna for 10. Meals come from SENEM, CAMP's on-site restaurant, vegetarian and included.
A note on where we're staying: Zipolite is home to Mexico's only legally recognized nudist beach, and nudity is normalized across CAMP's grounds. Cuerpo Vivo itself is not a nudist retreat. Nothing in our program asks or expects nudity at any point. Outside our scheduled sessions, you're free to engage with the property and beach however you choose, under CAMP's own house guidelines. Everything inside Cuerpo Vivo's program is fully clothed and entirely up to you.
THE GUIDES
THE ARC OF THE WEEK
Five days, five elements, each carrying its own weight.
Day 1 · Earth — Monday, Finding Ground: Arriving in the body. Building trust with the group and the land.
Day 2 · Fire — Tuesday, Expansion & Energy: Vitality, desire, expression, energy moving outward. One session held by the ocean.
Day 3 · Water — Wednesday, Surrender & Letting Go: Fluidity, release, emotional movement. Less controlling, more following.
Day 4 · Air — Thursday, Imagination & Uplift: Spaciousness, play, breath and spirit given more room. A two-hour 5Rhythms wave closes the day.
Day 5 · Ether — Friday, Integration & Connection: Bringing it together before departure. What remains once the week is over.
The retreat opens Sunday with a ceremony and shared dinner, a clear line between arriving and beginning. It closes Friday morning with an integration session, so what moved during the week has somewhere to land before you fly home.
The order and content of specific sessions may shift. Cuerpo Vivo is built to respond to the group, the weather, and what's actually happening in the room, not to a fixed script. A detailed schedule will be shared closer to the retreat.
